Have you ever had a niggling suspicion about something that then became a defining point in your life, somehow? I have! That niggling suspicion was that some of the medications I was dispensing as a retail pharmacist were actually causing the next disease state some of my customers were experiencing. That “thing” is called Iatrogenesis and it means harm by medicine. What?!

I had wanted to go to college to study the Performing Arts, but my mother decided I’d get a degree in something that would make me financially independent, so I went into the Healing Arts! Except Pharmacy turned out to not be healing; rather, I was involved in dispensing medicine for medical management. Various customers told me their stories of failing—or being failed by—conventional medicine…

…and then it happened to me! I became radically ill after a significant trauma in my life, and none of the doctors I saw nor the drugs they prescribed touched my symptoms. So I began a self-study into what we used to do before petro-chemical pharmaceutical medicine—things like homeopathy, Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine, herbs/water/nutrients/exercise/FOOD as medicine… 😊

I quit my career, sold everything we owned, left everyone we knew, and convinced my husband to follow me across the country so I could go back to school FULL TIME to earn a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine.

In addition, I specialize in addressing iatrogenesis, harm caused by medications used to manage chronic disease, chronic disease REVERSAL, providing education, guidance, mentoring, and instruction, and helping patients communicate with healthcare providers, especially when it comes to de-prescribing (part of chronic disease REVERSAL).

Naturopathic medicine is more a lifestyle than a profession for me. I’d love to teach this way of life to you!
